Milton Rotary Helps Santa Claus Parade
The Milton Rotary Club helped the Santa Claus Parade Committee achieve it's goal of collecting donations along this year's parade route -- once again helping the parade exist.
Running the parade costs tens of thousands of dollars and without the generous support of the community and their donations, which were collected by Rotarians with buckets, the parade would be in jeopardy.A total of $6,100 was collected this year, up from $4,500 in 2011.
This year on parade day, Nov. 18th, Rotarians were joined by the new Rotaract Club of Milton, a Rotary-inspired service club for 18 to 35 year olds. Rotaractors handed out donation envelopes at the front of the parade to help facilitate donations.
