The Milton African and Multicultural Festival serves as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, inclusion, and community connection. This year, as we mark a special milestone, we are expanding the event to include a wider range of activities and deeper community engagement. A collaboration with the Rotary Club of Milton would significantly enrich this initiative.

Allen Kanerva, a deeply respected educator and speaker specializing in trauma resolution — particularly for survivors of human trafficking.

Allen is the founder of Inspyrd Inc, a coaching practice that focuses on helping individuals heal from trauma without reliving their pain. His work integrates neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) with current developments in neuroscience, offering hope and proven pathways to recovery for those who have endured the unimaginable.

He has worked with survivors, first responders, veterans, and organizations across Canada and internationally, empowering them with tools for lasting change. Allen’s approach is compassionate, practical, and incredibly impactful.

"Healing the Hidden Wounds: Trauma Recovery for Survivors of Human Trafficking," is powerful and deeply relevant to anyone interested in service, justice, and community healing.

Maliha is the founder of Milton Muslim Moms, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the community and empowering women. Since its establishment, Milton Muslim Moms has initiated various community projects, including fundraisers for Milton Hospital, where she currently serves on the Gala committee. Additionally, she holds the position of Executive Director on the Board of Sustainable Milton.

RFE is an exchange between Rotary districts worldwide, Rotarians host each other in their homes.  An exchange can be cultural, project based, etc.  RFE builds goodwill amongst Rotarians worldwide, promotes peace and understanding.
