Milton Rotary Club Supports Community Resource The HUB
Local Rotarians from the Milton club volunteered their time on August 24, 2011, operating a barbecue in support of the HUB, an organization that helps families find resources in Milton.
Each year the HUB holds a kick off barbecue just before school starts up. It is here that they provide resource information (legal assistance information, after school programs, etc.) as well as back packs loaded with pencils, papers, school supplies and more for those in need.
The barbecue is offered as a fun way to attract people to their services and the Milton Rotary Club has provided the grill to cook on and the manpower to cook the food. This year's edition was one of the busiest barbecues yet.
If Milton residents need help with family situations, help finding employment, help connecting their kids with after school care or tutoring, the HUB is a central resource. The HUB's office works out of Our Lady of Victory Catholic School, but it is not a function of the Catholic School board.
One Milton Rotarian has been on the HUB's board, fostering this ongoing relationship with the Milton Rotary Club, which is proud to support this vital community resource.
